The Flaxseed Colon Cleanse To Start Losing Weight

You probably already know that your intestines (or colon) are in charge of eliminating undigested solids from your body, including parasites. Well, things don’t always go smoothly in getting everything out, and some things can even get stuck, causing more to accumulate. When this happens, your body goes to work to do everything it can to remove that foreign object. When there is enough of that activity going on, you can get tired, sluggish, or worse.

That left-behind debris can cause certain diseases as the toxins from it and trying to break it down eventually get into your bloodstream. Constipation, being bloated, cancer, poor hair and nail growth, kidney disease and so much more can be the result.

Many leading nutritionists and doctors recommend clearing out your colon just before you change your diet as part of your weight loss journey. Myself, I have gone to the We Care Spa on many occasions, where a liquid diet is combined with relaxation, stress relief, mental & spiritual work, and colonics. I really don’t know if the program at We Care is good for everyone, but it sure works for me.

Once you’ve done some type of cleansing, your diet will change. You just won’t want to ingest, or will not be able to ingest certain foods once you get your system cleared out, try those foods and then realize how awful they really are. For me, it was milk, peanuts, and all heavily processed foods. I haven’t looked back nor craved any of that since my first cleanse. Ever since that first cleanse (I think I’ve done about 4 since then) I’ve changed my diet to include more freshly made vegetable juice, fruits, vegetables in general, whole grains, and I’ve also found a host of really great gluten-free foods. But by far, my best new food friend is fiber.

Flax seed also contains a ton of dietary fiber, more than any other grain. Therefore, it’s great for diets that help to lose weight, lower your cholesterol levels, and prevent constipation.

As if this wasn’t enough, flax seed lowers the risk of breast, prostate, lung, and colon cancer. It can also have positive effects on the following conditions: Diabetes, fluid retention, sperm production, depression, allergies, and stress.

But what if you could skip the more extreme version of a cleanse, and do it by changing your diet? It turns out that a great way to cleanse your colon completely is by eating flax seed for three consecutive weeks.

This treatment will completely cleanse your colon by removing any excess mucus, fecal matter, and parasites. But it’ll keep your intestinal microflora intact. This method may also help you lose weight and burn fat faster.

Flax seed is easily absorbed to eliminate toxins from your body, reduce your cholesterol levels, and lower the fat and sugar content in your bloodstream. A colon cleanse using flax seed is good for people who suffer from:

  • Inflammation of the gastrointestinal system or upper respiratory tract
  • Stomach ulcers, gastritis, colitis, or a duodenal ulcer
  • Diseases like urinary tract infections, pyelonephritis, or cystitis
  • Obesity or excessive body weight as well as lipid metabolism disorders

How do you do a flaxseed cleanse?

For a full three weeks, focus on eating raw foods, with as much vegetable consumption as you can handle. Then eat fruits, whole grains, and nuts during your cleanse. Stay away from meat of any kind, as it is just much harder for your body to digest. If you crave protein, get a good plant-based protein powder and add it to your foods, or make a smoothie with it.

You’re going to drink two liters of water per day.

The rest is so simple! Order up some flaxseed and make sure you have a way to grind it into a powder. Head to your grocery store and get a bunch of Kefir, or make it yourself. If you cannot get kefir, Greek plain yogurt will do. Then add the following every day of those three weeks:

  • 1st week: mix one tablespoon of flax seed flour with 100 ml of kefir (you can find this in health food stores)
  • 2nd week: mix two tablespoons of flax seed flour with 100 ml of kefir
  • 3d week: mix three tablespoons of flax seed flour with 150 ml of kefir

When I tried this, I lost 9 lbs in three weeks, and I felt absolutely fantastic! Give it a try!
